FINANCIAL REFERRALS
Business and professional enquiries
An introduction for the financial conversation you are seeking
Business finance introductions
Business owners may need an external contact to discuss finance for equipment, working capital or another commercial purpose. Capital Referral Network can receive a general introduction request within its approved scope. The receiving business is responsible for deciding the nature of the proposed transaction, the applicable rules and whether it is authorised to provide the service requested.
Describe your business activity, location and the broad reason for making contact. You do not need to send customer records, confidential contracts or detailed accounts with an initial enquiry. A business purpose label does not automatically decide whether consumer credit laws apply. The receiving business must assess the actual transaction. No statement on this pageshould encourage a customer to misdescribe the purpose of borrowing or sign a declaration that does not accurately reflect the facts.
Other financial services enquiries
Some enquiries relate to financial services rather than credit. Where this pathway is available, Capital Referral Network may introduce you to a relevant licensed or authorised business for an initial discussion. The receiving business must explain the services it can provide and any limits on its authority. We do not use the referral form to recommend investments, insurance, superannuation products or strategies.
Tell us the kind of professional conversation you are seeking rather than listing account balances or private financial records. Before engaging a provider, ask how its services are paid for, which products or services it can consider and whether the person you will deal with has the required authority. The existence of a referral relationship does not mean that we have assessed a product for your circumstances or that every provider in the market has been
considered.
